Initial Consultation
Our initial consultation helps us get to know your student and determine the best starting point for instruction. It includes a family interview, a screener to decide whether the student will begin in Foundations in Sounds or the Barton Reading & Spelling System, and an initial WIST (Word Identification and Spelling Test) to establish a progress baseline. Following the session, families receive a comprehensive consultation report outlining results, recommendations, and next steps.

CITE Assessment
The CITE (Center for Innovative Teaching Experience) Learning Styles Assessment helps identify how a student learns best. It evaluates information gathering (visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learning), preferred work conditions (independent or group settings), and expressiveness (oral or written communication). Understanding these preferences allows tutors and your student's teacher to tailor instruction for each student’s needs, improving engagement and academic success.

Homework Help Tutoring Session
Our 50-minute Homework Help sessions provide one-on-one support for students needing extra academic assistance. Tutors help with reading and writing homework, school projects, papers, organization, tricky assignments, and test preparation. Students bring their own work to these sessions and meet with a tutor to assist them in their work. Sessions are available at both Saint Paul and Oakdale locations—please be sure to select the correct location when booking.​
